This former hideaway of the Italian King Umberto II in the coastal resort of Cascais is now a lovingly modernised five-star hotel that has been given a stylish twist with the help of Hager technology. A tebis building automation system with motion detectors and twilight switches controls the light in the halls and operational areas of the hotel, which has 124 rooms. Motorised shutters and pre-programmed scenarios (e.g. projection) ensure that the atmosphere in the conference rooms is always conducive to work. Various scenarios have also been pre-programmed for the lounge areas, the spa and the dining room. They can be accessed very easily via PC. In this way, the Grande Real Villa Italia is able to offer its guests an experience that’s fit for a king.
