On October 24th 2016, Berker KNX Touch Control received the Winner Label for Excellent Product Design in the category ‘Building and Elements’. The device has been designed by Hager Group's design agency Winco.
In this year´s session the jury’s 48 design experts were given the difficult task of evaluating over 4, 000 entries; the Excellent Product Design is all the more prestigious as the selection process is particularly tough.
Winners stand out for particularly remarkable features demonstrated by a coherent overall concept, thoughtful ergonomics, enhanced functionality and operability, qualitative design and execution, sustainable innovation and genuine brand value, product graphics and semantics. As such, Berker KNX Touch Control won the jury over with its stylish interface suspended on 4mm thick deco plate made of glass, aluminium or stainless steel.
Jury members were also convinced by the Berker Q.7 switch ranges, for which the German Design Council awarded a Special 2017 Mention. For Berker Q.7 solid materials such as polar white glass, black glass and aluminium are combined with a new design.
