“I love speed and pushing myself to my limits. I want to go faster and faster, in search of the unknown, in search of excellence.”

For Edmond, innovation, technology, engineering are important and are there to help reach goals and open new paths, however they are there to assist rather than take over. Of course, a snowboarding suit is engineered to fit perfectly, it must be aerodynamic, no folds to reduce turbulence, wind and water-tight seams, yet comfortable and practical to wear.

Technology must also limit the risks, for example in designing and engineering a helmet to protect, reduce wind speed and provide good visibility. Testing and adapting new material to safely and comfortably go just that little bit faster is essential - and at 203 kilometres per hour safety is indeed the key.

“When you push yourself to the limit you find out who you really are and what you’re capable of.”
