Hager Group named “outstanding training centre” for the third time in a row

Hager Group was among the 60 exhibitors attending the training and job fair held in Olpe’s town hall on 30th and 31st May. We have been attending the event on an annual basis since 2009 in order to showcase our company and advertise the skilled jobs we have to offer. This year 2600 school students came along to find out all about the latest education and training opportunities in the region. It was a resounding success!

Our stand was manned by trainees from Berker, as is the case every year, as well as by trainer Guido Rademacher and Henrike Hegerlik from Human Resources. Our team got into lots of conversations with potential new recruits for various skilled jobs, traineeships and dual study courses, and even arranged some initial interviews. Many of our current trainees were previously recruited at this careers fair, so that just goes to show how extremely fruitful these discussions can be.

Hager Group is particularly proud to have been named an “outstanding training centre” for the third time in a row: the first time was for Berker in 2015, then we were recognised for our training centre in Wenden-Ottfingen in 2016 and 2017.

This seal of excellence is a testament to our company’s excellent commitment to vocational training, as well as to a high degree of trainee satisfaction and a positive appraisal of the training situation on the part of our trainees.

The training and education fair has also met with a positive response from the exhibitors, among whom the event has proved increasingly popular. Having recognised the challenge of demographic change, these companies are now trying to create plenty of training positions for the medium to long term.

The training and job fair will be taking place in Olpe again next year. We look forward to meeting the next cohort!
