Lucky 6! The Lange Nacht Der Industrie (Long Night of Industry) was held for the sixth time in the Saarland on 6th October 2016 and Hager Group participated for the sixth time. This night-time event is an opportunity to see behind the scenes as companies participating open their doors to school children, students and job & training placement seekers. A total of 28 companies from the region took part in the event, organised by the Saarland Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK) and the AGV ME Saar.
During this Long Night of Industry, participants chose two companies for their company tours, we at Hager Group welcomed two groups, each of 50 guests.
Oswald Bubel, deputy chairman of the foundation Peter und Luise Hager Stiftung, kicked off the welcome speech with a company presentation and explanation of the role of the Human Resources department, participants then toured the factory under the banner of ‘Production live’.
Participants rounded off their evening with informal discussions with company representatives from the following sectors: Human Resources, training, occupational therapy and the works council.
Those interested in training were well served - colleagues for commercial and technical training had their own stand and provided information about various training possibilities and dual study options for 2017.
"The Long Night of Industry is a chance for us to showcase our company and inform young people, young professionals or employees looking to make a career change about Hager Group. In particular, discussions between the participants and, for instance, our on-site trainers or students are of particular value to our guests,"commented Head of HR Jörg Sick.
Lisa Schug, HF Development intern, was delighted by the positive response to the event: "It’s great to see that the event has been met with such a positive response and that so many people are interested in Hager Group.
