Hager Group welcomes engineering students to Obernai

« Ingénieur’e : oser ! A la découverte des métiers de l’ingénierie » (“Dare! Discover careers in engineering”)

On 9th April 2015 in Obernai, Hager Group’s largest industrial site once again opened its doors to 90 engineering students. Following the success of the first edition in 2014, the invitation was taken up by the local engineering schools: INSA Strasbourg, Télécom Physique Strasbourg, ECAM Strasbourg and UTBM Belfort. This initiative aims to promote the merits of a career in industry.

The meeting was kicked off by Daniel Hager, CEO of Hager Group, before students headed off to discover a future profession. The day offered them the opportunity to meet and discuss with some 20 Hager Group experts from areas such as research & development, continuous improvement, industrialisation, technical training, sustainable development and human resources.

Six lively and innovative employee-led workshops on topics such as work/life balance, geographical and functional mobility, gender equality, managing diversity, solutions for clients and “Newcomers – new employees” were held at different points throughout the day. Parallel to this, there were no fewer than 60 recruitment interviews held in the ‘speed-recruiting’ area. Two factory visits were also organised for the occasion, showing 40 attendees what really happens in a Hager Group industrial site.

And only a few hours after the end of the event, Hager Group had already received lots of thank you emails from the students. The 2015 “Ingénieur’e : oser”  event fulfilled its objective and proved to be a great success!
