Hager Group’s active contribution to the energy transition

Energy production alone is not enough to contribute to a successful energy transition. Questions like storage and distribution or availability also have an important role to play in the successful implementation of a safe, sustainable and affordable energy transition. “LIESA contributes to implement on a regional level in Saarland the energy transition in a decentralised and smart way,” explains Anke Rehlinger. Besides, both our projects “Stromsparland” and the “research and development building” in Blieskastel were highlighted by the minister in a press conference on 15th July.

On 23rd July, Anke Rehlinger, Economy, Work, Energy and Transport Minister in Saarland, visited Hager Group at our headquarters in Blieskastel. The theme of the meeting is Hager Group’s active contribution to the energy transition. In Saarland, we have teamed up with renowned partners to initiate an ambitious experiment, which should push forward the energy transition at a local level: the “Landesinitiative Energieinnovation Saar – LIESA” (regional initiative for energy innovation in Saarland). The experiment aims to find a new model for future energy supply which is decentralised, safe, high-performing, energy efficient and uses renewable energy sources.
