What service means to me
Chief Human Resources Officer talks about his understanding of the word ‘service’
What service means to me
Franck Houdebert,
Chief Human Resources Officer
To my mind, service is strongly connected to the idea of creating an added-value link between two parties. This is what Hager Group’s HR teams are working on. Our ambition is to contribute to a company that attracts, retains and develops the right people, at the right place and at the right time. On the other hand, we are also here to listen to our colleagues and maintain and develop the right working atmosphere. We also deliver service in the form of advice to management and work closely with personal representatives.
For the future, an open spirit, proximity searching and technological evolution will be key. One major current mission is to support the transformation of our company through a strong leadership community and talent development.
This means we are about to become a global HR organisation, designing and deploying global programmes like leadership development based on a group model as well as global processes based on IT performing solutions. This is why we implemented a group recruitment system, as well as a new process for employee's annual interviews; PDI (Performance and Development Interview), and will soon implement a group learning management system. We also plan to set up an up-to-date personnel database that will simplify a lot of non-added value work. Finally, we will carry out regular opinion surveys to make sure our actions remain in line with people’s expectations.
Our HR teams will continue to develop their service approach. This is based on confidence in and proximity to our different partners in the company. Adding real value to our company means cultivating a listening attitude, specific consideration, transparency, flexibility and of course recognising when you make an error.
