“The customer is at the heart of our company.” Do you know any businesses that wouldn’t hold to this? For us too at Hager Group, being customer oriented has always been part of our DNA.
The importance of safety and comfort at home was demonstrated not least during the coronavirus-related lockdown, when many of us had to spend considerably more time than usual in our own homes.
Our founders knew that they had to listen carefully to the customers and swiftly translate their needs and wishes into outstanding solutions. As a result of this, a robust and friendly network of customers, partners and distributors was soon established, with whom we grew from a small family business in Saarland to a global player with customers in more than 120 countries around the world. Together, we develop ideas for the electrical world of tomorrow. It’s no longer just about the meter board, which marked the start of our success story; now, it’s all about increasingly complex solutions for the smart home, energy efficiency and management, networking, the energy transition and electromobility that touch and move people around the world. The importance of safety and comfort at home was demonstrated not least during the coronavirus-related lockdown, when many of us had to spend considerably more time than usual in our own homes.
In fact, this Annual Report was on its way to the printer when the coronavirus crisis struck. We therefore had to change our processes in no time at all, switch to short-time working, adjust our production and even sometimes stop it completely; during this time, our customers remained both loyal to us and also supported us to the best of their ability. We present seven of them in this Annual Report, and these seven represent hundreds of thousands of others. A recent survey by the independent IPSOS Institute shows just how highly they rate our company. According to the survey, our German customers not only recommend us far more than our competitors, they also rate us higher than the average of all brands in the B2B segment, as you can also read in this report.
Crises also represent opportunities. And we fully intend to seize these opportunities, together with you – our partners, employees and customers.
Many customers have asked us over the past few months how things are progressing. The truth is that nobody really knows how long the pandemic and its consequences will last. This year, however, we at Hager Group have again received confirmation that we have a strong network of employees, partners and customers, who can survive even the most severe crises. We have learned how quickly events in one part of the world today can have serious consequences for all of us. The fact that our world is growing ever closer together also means that we can tackle problems together, faster and more effectively. So it is with a certain amount of optimism that I look to the future, even in these challenging times.
Crises also represent opportunities. And we fully intend to seize these opportunities, together with you – our partners, employees and customers. Today I would like to thank you for your loyalty, strength and commitment even during difficult times. This Annual Report is dedicated to you.
