Since 1990, Diagral has been one of Europe’s leading brands for wireless alarm systems for easy assembly in the private sector.

Bocchiotti and Iboco are specialists in production and distribution of solutions and services in the field of cable management and small distribution boards for domestic and industrial applications.

History

1955

Hager oHG, elektrotechnische Fabrik is established as an electrical engineering works in Saarbrücken-Ensheim (Germany).

1959

Hager Electro is established in Obernai (France). The first step towards a marketing network that will eventually span Europe.

1980s

Hager Group systematically began to supplement its range of products in the 1980s. Sales companies were founded in key European markets.

1992

Acquisition of Lumetal (Italy), a specialist in distribution boards made of metal and polyester. Since the mid-90s: Hager Group has established its own sales platforms in the United Arab Emirates (Dubai), Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, China, Australia and New Zealand.

1996

Acquisition of the German brand manufacturer Tehalit (wiring systems and cable ducts).

1998

Integration of Flash in Saverne (France) – manufacturer of electronic components. Acquisition of Ashley & Rock in Ulverston (UK) – range of products expanded to meet British Standards.

2002

Integration of switch manufacturer Polo (Poland).

2004

Takeover of Weber (Switzerland) – switchgear manufacturer – and Atral (France) – manufacturer of safety technology.

2005

Takeover of Anmacher (Switzerland), manufacturer of switches and sockets.

2006

Acquisition of all shares in Eletromar – market entry in Brazil – and takeover of Efen Group (Germany) – fuses and fuse-related power distribution.

2007

Hager Group becomes a European company: SE = Societas Europaea. Hager Group’s new factory in Pune (India) goes into operation.

2010

Acquisition of Berker, a German manufacturer of electrical switches

2012

Acquisition of Elcom (Germany) – specialist in modern communication systems and creative entryway designs. Acquisition of locate solution (Germany) – specialising in Ambient Assisted Living solutions.

2013

Takeover of three companies (Teles, Prodis, A.V.I. Sécurité) and one of the divisions of Artys – specialists in the area of products and services for remote monitoring.

2014

Cooperation with ABN Braun AG in the field of ‘outdoor electricity’. Hager Group takes over the development and production in this area at the Nuremberg site.

2015

Acquisition of Bocchiotti Group, an Italian family owned and run company with 50 years of experience in wiring and small distribution boards.

2016

Acquisition of the French company Azimut Monitoring, a leading company in the field of air quality and noise monitoring for smart buildings and smart cities. Strategic partnership with Bluelinea, a French specialist in the domain of solutions and services dedicated to home comfort for the elderly.

2017

Hager Services enters the French market. Strategic partnership with Hakisa (France), confirming commitment to the Silver Economy and AAL.

Acquisition of Herholdt Controls (Italy), specialised in the field of electrical energy meters.

Acquisition of E3/DC (Germany), energy storage specialists.

2018

Hager Group generates a turnover of more than 2 billion euros.
