Imagine you are a part of a successful team of architects, engineers and experts from every conceivable discipline; a team that has already completed numerous impressive projects together and has earned an outstanding reputation for itself in the industry. Now you’re faced with a completely new challenge: you’ve taken on a project that is far bigger, more complex and more demanding than anything you’ve ever done before. And as if that weren’t enough, you also have to make this project a success in a new, challenging environment where your usual tools and processes don’t work like they usually do. The only way to achieve your ambitious aim is to completely rethink your skills, expertise and cooperation methods and gear them towards your new goal.
That’s exactly what we're doing right now.
Here at Hager Group, we’re pursuing an ambitious aim: we want to become a major global player in the electro technical industry.
Our ambition is to be a company with a 3 billion euro turnover and 20,000 employees. Our business practices and the values that constitute our corporate culture provide a solid basis and with Project2020, we have set out a detailed plan for the years to come. Most importantly, we are a team of more than 11,000 competent employees.
If we want to achieve our ambitious aim, we will have to rigorously review the ways in which we work together and see the world. In order to become the company that we want to be, we will need to subject our modus operandi to a general overhaul. The world has changed. And now it’s time for us to change, too.
“If we want things to stay as they are, things will have to change,” Lampedusa once wrote. This nugget of knowledge has been around for many centuries, and now for us it’s more relevant than ever. If we want to remain the successful team we have steadily grown to be over the past decades, we must change. Think bigger. Be more ambitious. And leverage all the areas in which we want to be and can be better. As we said before, “…we've got a lot to do, so let’s do it!”
