E-Purchasing Specialist (m/f/d)

Your Activities

In this key role, you are responsible for the management of all global catalogue suppliers & marketplaces, which you source internationally at optimal conditions, and manage the full end-to-end classical purchasing but also focus on to the user optimal experience. That means that you ensure to provide the optimal user experience to our self-sourcing-platform users, but also act as coach towards all purchasers working with our self-sourcing-platform.

Your focus is on sourcing of global catalogue suppliers & marketplaces and providing support and guidance to our Purchasers internationally (FR, DE, IT, CH, PL, EN ES & CN) ensuring system run and optimal user experience. In addition, you have functional responsibility for global catalogue suppliers & marketplaces related product groups in order to define procurement strategies and procurement processes for the Hager Group worldwide and implement them in cooperation with Regional Purchasing Managers. You work independently and are closely networked with the international purchasing team of the Hager Group. Therefore, a very good knowledge of English is essential for this function.

Your Objectives

You carry out tenders, offer analyzes and negotiations, draw up contracts and close them. In addition, you are responsible for:

• Continuous observation and analysis of the entire procurement market & user needs
• Development of an efficient supplier portfolio answering the needs of our users by optimal category coverage
• Supplier management (deadlines, prices, quality), supplier development and monitoring of the financial situation of main suppliers
• Influencing in the optimization of purchasing platform user experience by promoting & enhancing the needed data
• Act as coach, provide support and guidance to buyers as subject matter expert for Hager Group’s self-procurement platform and in that frame be the first contact person for buyers worldwide.
• Provide expert level support for users of our self-procurement platform when support is escalated from buyer in charge
• Early recognition of trends and innovations in the e-supplier environment
• Participation in the agreement of technical delivery conditions, quality and ensuring supplier service level in adequation with our user’s needs.

The Hager Group uses SAP Ariba Guided Buying as self-procurement platform by which you support the suppliers as well as your internal customers and the user in the usage.

You’ll report directly to the Purchasing Manager Governance & Digital Systems.

Your profile

• You have a solid professional education or academic degree.
• At least 3 years of professional experience as a buyer in a comparable area of responsibility.
• Experience with electronic procurement tools.
• Good digital savvy, good communication and presentation skills.
• Strong analytical thinking, assertiveness and team orientation.
• High level of independence, initiative, willingness to perform and resilience.
• High degree of flexibility and customer orientation.
• Good knowledge of MS Office and SAP knowledge (R/3 MM module).
• Good written and spoken English, additional languages French or German would be an advantage.
