welcome to your specific HPLP newsletter that you are receiving as a phase owner or milestone approver; it is the follow-up of the more general HPLP application newsletter you received in January. We consider it important that as a phase owner or milestone approver you be kept informed. HPLP continues to evolve and with it templates, sub-processes, check-list improvements, etc…

To this effect, over the course of 2017, we will be sending you another two specific HPLP Newsletters on 25th May and 26th September. There will be three more general Newsletters this year.

So what has evolved…?

New tool: associating project indicators with project checklists!

Since end 2016 some Project indicators have been added to project checklists. At the end of each month they must be kept up-to-date for automatic monthly report generating.
Objective: centralise information and ensure correct automatic monthly reporting extractions at start of each month.

Fields have been added such as:
Project Priority Classification: class projects via priorities - Top10 / Key20 / Business relevant / other…
Project Status Indicators: keep status up-to-date – Active / Closed / To be deleted

In 2016, 9 global templates were defined, such as 8P concept & Project Contract. Please propose your local good practices (processes, templates, instructions), they could be promoted to Global.
To share your practices: contact your Business Process Excellence team or local Champion.

Timing between Milestones M5 & M5.6

Engineering is indeed the owner of M5 to M5.6 milestones, however the time between the milestones must be agreed on with Offer Management & Market Areas. Offer Management & Market Areas both have to provide deliverables and organising launch to market is a lengthy process.
