For the fifth time, Hager Group invited children from the French and German SOS Children's Villages near Hager Group sites at Blieskastel, Heltersberg and Obernai for a weekend away. This year’s treat was to Europa Park in Rust, Germany's largest themed fun park.
The boys and girls from Eisenberg and Merzig also had an overnight stay at Europa Park’s Camp Resort Hotel in tepees. The theme this month at Europa Park’s was Halloween, so there were lots of gruesomely beautiful Halloween decorations to add to the fun. "This is the best day in my life. I'm at Europa Park and it’s my birthday," squealed little Laura with delight.
The idea of this charitable action started in December 2012 as part of our Hager Group Symposium. Participants were traditionally given a gift, however the decision was made to offer something to remember to those less fortunate. Find out more about the SOS Children's Villages here.
