Against some strong competition, Hager Portugal has emerged as number 1 for customers.
AGEFE, Portugal’s national electrical manufacturers and wholesalers association, recently called upon its members to evaluate their suppliers. Luis Fonseca, Managing Director at Hager Group in Portugal, explains: “As our customers were directly evaluating us, we were keen to learn the outcome of this benchmarking and discover any areas where there is room for improvement.” Other companies up for the accolade included direct competitors of Hager, such as ABB, EFAPEL, Siemens, Schneider Electric and TEV2.
Four categories clinched it
To evaluate the performance of the participating companies, the association put a number of questions to its members. These questions were classified into four separate categories to ensure comparable results. The first category focused on sales strategy and whether the respondents were satisfied with this aspect. The second looked at profitability and value creation. In the third category, questions centred around the product range and service level, while in the fourth, the respondents were asked about other economic assessments. “The questions were answered anonymously and honestly. We were delighted with the results,” adds Luis Fonseca. Our customers view us as number 1.
Even during the coronavirus pandemic, the Hager team didn’t let its customers down. It presented a united front while remaining focused on pushing forward, building on existing achievements and continuing to be there for customers. As a result, Hager’s partnerships with its distributors remained strong. This accolade serves as recognition for the hard work and courage demonstrated during this period. However, the survey also highlighted a number of areas with potential for improvement. Hager Portugal is therefore now working on these to increase customer satisfaction even further.
