IT specialist for system integration


IT specialists for system integration realise customer-specific information and communication solutions. They do this by networking hardware and software components to form complex systems. They also provide user advice and training.

Typical activities:

IT specialists for system integration plan and configure IT systems. They work as service providers in-house or on a customer’s premises to set up these systems in line with customer requirements and they operate and/or manage them. In the event of errors, their role also involves systematically restricting and rectifying the fault by using modern expert and diagnostic systems. They provide internal and external user advice on the selection and use of equipment and resolve application and system problems. They also create system documents and provide user training.


At least a secondary school leaving certificate with good IT skills.

Training period: 3 years (condensed 2-year course also possible)
