Blieskastel hosts a Vocational Training Day

‘A Future You Can Touch’ was the slogan of the Vocational Training Day held on 15th September 2018 in Blieskastel.

This was the third time Blieskastel employees’ opened their doors to welcome 170 visitors. Training 4.0. was the main theme this year. In the training workshop, visitors learned about various training programmes offered by Hager Group in both technical and commercial areas. The job roles that fall under the former area include tooling & industrial mechanics, process mechanics (specialising in plastics and rubber technology), mechatronics engineers, industrial engineering electricians and machine & factory operators. There were several work stations where apprentices explained what they had learned in their training so far.

Commercial training roles at Hager Group include industrial, marketing and IT system integration specialists and also event planners.

Around 20 apprentices were on hand to answer visitors’ questions. Trainers and training managers also provided information about the application process.

The visitors appeared impressed by the spacious & friendly design of the workshop, modern equipment and premises in Blieskastel. The cordial welcome and casual atmosphere with coffee and snacks provided a relaxed setting for open exchanges.

“In view of the event’s success, we will reopen our gates next year for another Vocational Training Day,” commented both Fred Hess (Head of Commercial and Technical Training) and Andreas Fuchs (Head of Commercial Training).

For anyone who did not have time to attend in September and does not want to wait until next year, there will be another Vocational Training Day on 27th October 2018 at the Heltersberg site.
