Clean drinking water for everyone!

New water bottles in Blieskastel to support the BlueFuture Project

Over the next few weeks, a new type of Schwollener mineral water will be offered in all meeting rooms at the Blieskastel site. With the change from the “standard water” from Schwollen Quelle to “BlueFuture Mineralwasser”, the company supports the BlueFuture Project of two young Saarlanders who are doing good for people and the environment.

Christoph Dillenburger and Tibor Sprick are investing the majority of the money in their pilot project to expanding the infrastructure in Africa. For this purpose, community members in rural areas of Tanzania are equipped with Nanofilters and sales stands (water stations). The community members that are responsible for the water station, takes the contaminated water from a local spring, cleans it with the aid of the filter and offers it to the community for a low fee.

The Nanofilter was invented and is used as an innovative water filtration system, developed by Dr. Hilonga from Tanzania. Dr. Hilonga and his team guarantee the maintenance of the filter systems and the station, thus ensuring a sustainable, continuous water supply. This creates jobs and at the same time counteracts poverty and the water crisis in the country.

The Peter and Luise Hager Foundation is also supporting the start-up's main project and the construction of the water stations with a generous donation of € 5,000.

Furthermore, the project team helps finance the regional projects in Saarland, with the help of the income from the sale of the BlueFuture Project’s mineral water.
