Design Award for Daitem BEKA Fire Alarm System

Outstanding product design is one thing. It is something completely different for sophisticated design to be distinguished by experts.

This is exactly what Daitem BEKA has achieved. The German Design Council, one of the world's most important competence centres for design and architecture, has awarded the radio fire alarm system from Atral with the prize for ‘Iconic Awards: Innovative Architecture’. A top-class jury awarded the winning prize to the innovative fire alarm system in the ‘Product’ category.

"We see this award as a confirmation of our commitment to combining state-of-the-art security technology with compelling design," says Stefan Flauder, Head of Sales and Marketing at Atral-Secal GmbH. In the competition ‘Iconic Awards: Innovative Architecture’ from the German Design Council, visionary architecture, innovative products, and ongoing communication from all areas of architecture, the construction and real estate sectors, and the manufacturing industry are rewarded. The focus is on the holistic, consistent production of products.

Daitem BEKA is the first radio fire alarm system on the German market that meets the requirements of the new DIN VDE V 0826-2 for early fire detection. It is particularly suitable for use in day-care centres, schools, retirement homes, small hotels and comparable purpose-built facilities. The system can be quickly installed and flexibly expanded without the need for renovation. Thanks to the patented DynaBand® radio technology, the Daitem BEKA is also considered to be particularly reliable.

Its manufacturer, Atral-Secal GmbH, based in Weinheim, is a member of the Hager Group. With more than a million units sold, it is one of Europe's leading manufacturers of wireless radio systems.
