Doing more with less! This sums up our goal when it comes to production planning and optimisation. As a result, we are constantly looking for ways to unite higher production and revenue with lower resource consumption. At present, 90 per cent of plastic waste and 100 per cent of metal scrap is recycled across our company. In 2013, we evaluated greenhouse gas emissions at all of our major production sites – from the emissions produced when acquiring raw materials through to those generated through the circulation of our products. At present, 20 of our 28 production sites are certified to the international environmental management standard ISO 14001, which sets out globally recognised environmental management requirements.
We also strive to constantly improve our production processes through a variety of initiatives. Every year, we honour the most remarkable initiatives with a company ‘Continuous Improvement’ prize, which is awarded, for instance, to improvement projects with an environmental focus.
