Hager Group acquires French company Azimut Monitoring

Blieskastel, 26th February 2016

Hager Group acquires leading French provider for connected air quality and environmental monitoring solutions

Hager Group is pleased to announce the acquisition of the French company Azimut Monitoring, a leading company in the field of air quality and noise monitoring for smart buildings and smart cities. The shareholders of Azimut Monitoring and the representatives of Hager Group signed the contractual agreement in Francin (Savoie) on 29th January 2016.

Daniel Hager, CEO of Hager Group, stated that “air quality, noise nuisances and other environmental factors heavily influence our quality of living, at home and at work. These aspects are also a growing preoccupation for progressive city administrations concerned about their citizens’ environment.” Thanks to this strategic acquisition, Hager Group will hereby further complete its solution portfolio for residential and commercial buildings.

Hager Group can now offer solutions that include best-in-class connected sensor technology for indoor and outdoor environments. The information gathered can be made instantly available and analysed for its customers in a highly secured way, compliant with privacy regulation. By doing so, the company enables corrective measures to be taken, with new service eco-systems, ultimately improving the attractiveness of its customers’ environment significantly.

Didier Dufournet, General Manager of Azimut Monitoring, emphasized the “synergies we are creating by integrating an industrial company like Hager Group that develops, produces and commercialises smart home and smart building solutions in 95 countries worldwide, thus paving the road towards more intelligent urban systems in the future.”
