After more than 50 years at Hager Group, Oswald Bubel, Managing Director of Hager Electro GmbH & Co. KG in Germany, is retiring as of 1st July 2015.
During his long career, he has played a key role in shaping the company’s development – first in Germany and later at an international level as well. His biggest achievements include the takeovers of Tehalit and Berker in 1996 and 2010, where he was actively involved in negotiations, and the conversion of Hager AG into a European company (SE), during which he led the dialogue between unions and management. Since 2008, he has also been secretary to the Supervisory Board and Board of Directors and maintained links with the family that own the company.
Although Mr. Bubel is relinquishing his operational responsibility, he will keep supporting the company for another three years until 2018. In his role as Managing Director, he will continue to occasionally oversee projects for the Board of Directors. He will also keep working with the Supervisory Board in the role of secretary. In addition to this, Oswald Bubel will retain his position on the Board for the Peter-and-Luise-Hager Foundation.
“On behalf of Hager family and the whole company, I would like to thank Mr. Bubel for his many years of service and his hard work for our business.” says Daniel Hager, CEO of Hager Group. “His professional and social skills, dedication and loyalty are an example to us all. We are delighted that he will remain with us for a little longer.”
