Hotel Post Plaza (Leeuwarden)

This was once home to a bustling postal hub. Today, the former post office building in the Tweebaksmarkt district of Leeuwarden is a place that brings together people from all over the world. When converting this Gründerzeit building into the Post Plaza hotel with 82 beds, the team of architects from Stars Interiors referenced its history in details such stamp-shaped basins and old mailbags for collecting the table cloths in the restaurant.

And when choosing the switches, they also opted for a range of historically inspired products in the form of the Berker Series 1930 system. The architects specifically requested push buttons, Berker replaced the rotary switches from the Berker Series 1930 system with the buttons from the Berker Generation R system.
