Icelandic customers enjoy a Hager Hessen Experience (Light + Building 2018)

As part of Light + Building 2018, Hager Group welcomed a great number of customers from around the world to Frankfurt – including over 100 electricians and planning specialists from Iceland. The group had been invited by Johan Rönning, Iceland’s leading provider of electronic products. First, they paid a visit to the Hager stand, where they were able to get a good overview of the current range of solutions. A special evening programme, organised by the Marketing & Solutions Competence Centre (MSCC) Europe team, rounded off their trip and left a lasting impression.

The highlight of the visit was the Hager Hessen Experience on 20th March. The guests went on a tour of Frankfurt and learned all about the city’s history, before enjoying a tour of the fruit-pressing plant “Kelterei Possmann” followed by apple wine tasting.

After that, Markus Enning, Area Sales Manager Central & Northern Europe, met the group and took them to a traditional restaurant – the “Frankfurter Apfelweinbotschaft” – for dinner. The band “Edelweiss” provided the soundtrack to the evening. The visitors were already in a great mood during the city tour, and the atmosphere became increasingly jubilant during the course of the evening asthe Icelanders showed off their legendary chant, for which they became famous during the Euro 2016 football championships. 

Haraldur Líndal Pétursson, CEO of Johan Rönning hf, later thanked the Hager Group team, on behalf of the customers, for all it had done: “We were really impressed by the Hager stand and the evening event. We very much appreciate the effort that Hager Group went to.”

This group visit from Iceland allowed me to get talking to lots of individual customers. Events like this enable us to strengthen customer retention and make the Hager brand even more popular,” explained Markus Enning.
