In business as in sport, let's stay fit & healthy!

Doing a warm-up before starting work improves well-being

Staying fit & healthy is important both individually and collectively. At Hager Group we are well aware of this - health and safety at work are paramount. Racing Club Strasbourg Alsace football team, who we support and sponsor confirm it – in both business and football, we play as a team. And for a team to win, it has to be fit!

For several years now, production staff at Hager Group sites in Alsace have been doing a warm-ups before they start their work. Indeed, as in the world of sport, warming up before doing physical activity is essential.

Find out here how our Hager Group employees at the French site in Bischwiller do their warm ups - real sportsmen and women!

A five-minute group warm-up can help to prevent RSIs and accidents at the workplace.

The physical effort is maybe not as intense as with the footballers, nevertheless team workers in production make repetitive movements over longer periods of time, so warming up can make all the difference. This is the mission of the "warm-up team leaders." These “warm-upers’ , trained by occupational health service colleagues, are in charge of leading the warm-up sessions before each shift starts.

The results? Improved employee well-being, a reduction in muscle & joint pain, fatigue and anxiety.

These warm-up sessions show that the work place and the sports ground have more in common than we thought. Something to think about next time before starting on a job!
