Light + Building 2018

During Light + Building, a total of 2,714 exhibitors from 55 countries displayed innovative products and solutions from the electrical engineering industry under the heading 'Digital future meets design hotspot'. The 220,000 or so specialist international visitors to the world-leading trade fair for lighting and building services technology in Frankfurt greatly appreciated what was on offer. The number of fair visitors increased by 4,000 compared to the last trade fair in 2016, reflecting a continued positive trend – and this trend applies to Hager Group as well.

What was happening at our stand? Our stand at the industry's most important trade fair was a great success. Over the six-day fair, our focus was on information sharing about intelligent building automation, connected solutions and digital products. Customers had ample opportunities to discuss with our colleagues.

'Einfach.Mehr.' (in English: Simply.More.) Under the slogan of Einfach.Mehr., our visitors had different Hager Group 'themed days' experiences: from Einfach.Mehr.Design. to Einfach.Mehr.Türkommunikation. and Einfach.Mehr.Smart Home. to Einfach.Mehr.People. Overall, we welcomed more than 100 registered visitor groups from 17 countries who discovered Hager highlights via a guided tour of our 2,000 m² stand.

Torsten Schulz, Managing Director Marketing and Sales of Hager Vertriebsgesellschaft mbH & Co. KG, is also enthusiastic commenting that "this year’s trade fair was an outstanding one with very positive customer feedback about the Light + Building fair, Hall 8 and in particular excellent manufacturers such as Hager. Our team was highly motivated and confidently delivered a great performance during the six days, not to mention an additional 2 days for rehearsals. The stand concept also worked: its structure and communication reflected Hager design and quality. Well done!"

Trade fair highlights drawing in a crowd! At Hager Manufaktur, visitors got hands on with switches made from a variety of materials. One particularly noteworthy feature was the Manufaktur Edition, presented for the first time here. Other new products in the field of door communication at the trade fair included the new access gate from Elcom, the Elcom.fon indoor handset station and the new Elcome.home sets. In addition to door communication, the added value of our latest solutions in the smart home sector was clear to see. The IoT controller enables a variety of services such as Amazon Alexa, Sonos or Netatmo, to be connected via KNX. coviva, our solution for an attractive smart home, was also featured. The 'Technikzentrale' (in English: central technical system), an indispensable part of planning energy and data cables in the home was also present. In addition to this, we showcased our ZPlan and hagercad software solutions, which provide optimised support for planning and installing central technical systems.

Things were also happening on Workshop Street, where the trainee challenges were solved 1,628 times over the six days.

Our colleagues from EFEN and Daitem also enjoyed a successful event. At EFEN, there was particular interest in the Silas Smart Upgrade Kit and the Smart Grid Interface Module. The Secure! Connected Security in Buildings special exhibition in Hall 9.1 was a first for both Daitem and Messe Frankfurt. As a leading provider of wireless security and fire safety solutions, Daitem found this newly launched platform an interesting means of drawing attention to the brand and its products.

See you all at the next Light + Building in Frankfurt from 8th to 13th March 2020.
