The EEBus Initiative, a leading alliance for the Internet of Things, with the market leading international companies in the energy, electronic and ICT sectors, is adapting its executive structure to a significant enlarged international area of operations. “After the EEBus initiative has announced strategic liaison agreements with other international leading alliances, like OIC, Energy@home and Agora over the last 12 months, the extension of its executive structure, is the next logical step in an ongoing strong positioning on the global market” outlines Peter Kellendonk (1st Chairman): due to this, we extend the Executive Board from two to six seats, create an Advisory Board and appoint an international experienced manager to be Managing Director”.
Representatives from Hager Group, Bosch, EnBW and SMA will augment the Executive Board. “Due to our broadly-based line up, consisting of varying functions and trades combined with the usage of international networks, we are increasing the international significance and impact of our alliance”, assures Dr. Thomas Finke, who represents Bosch in the Executive Board. “Our diverse and domain-crossing member structure allows us the consideration of the varying requirements for each domain regarding the EEBus Data models and use cases”, is Tom Rudolph convinced, who represents SMA in the Executive Board:” Thus we create trade crossing acceptance and assure the implementation of the EEBus Concept in an wide variety of products for the Smart Home and Smart Grid.” The Advisory Board is formed out of experienced Managers from BSH and Solar Group Nederland.
Connectivity-Standard as basis for innovations
Besides the existing Directors Peter Kellendonk (1st Chairman, Kellendonk Group) and Dr. Bernhard Thies (2nd Chairman,VDE), the Executive Board will consist of Johannes Hauck (Hager Group), Dr.Thomas Finke (Bosch), Til Landwehrmann (EnBW) and Tom Rudolph (SMA). Members of the Advisory Board are Josef Baumeister (BSH) as expert on standardization as well as Mark Kruisbergen (Market director Solar Nederland B.V.) as specialist for the trade / retail sector.
The new appointed Managing Director of the EEBus Initiative is Dietmar Schneider, who has a vast amount of expert knowledge as former Head of Sales Europe at Osram and as Chairman of the Board of Voltimum, an international leading internet portal for electrical engineering. ”Besides the groundbreaking strategic liaisons on a global scale, the election of representatives, from market leading and innovation driving companies, in the Executive Board, is another essential step to secure the role as an powerful and qualified partner nationally and internationally.”, outlines Schneider.
