Putting customers first with our yearly market kickoffs

Celebrating success & getting excited about preparing the future

The start of every year at Hager Group is punctuated with our market areas kicks offs. It is the opportunity for our different sales forces to get together to celebrate the successes of the previous year, talk about what to improve and get excited about the ambitious goals for the coming year.
Our expert teams all over the world get up to speed and focus on customer centricity, sales strategy and innovative products & solutions for the coming year.
Let’s have a spotlight on a few of the Market Areas that kicked off the year with their sales convention.
As our culture and values are the fundamentals that guide our daily work, collaboration with customers, partners & colleagues, as well as the decisions we make many of the kickoffs focused not only on sales but also on our company values of courage, authenticity and integrity.

Spotlight on South East Asia
Another sales kickoff for Hager Group! The ASEAN team from South East Asia is looking forward to what 2020 holds. The event held in Malaysia was boosted by the additional participation of the APAC Asia-Pacific support functions teams. Spotlight on China
16th January, 175 colleagues from all over China got together in Huizhou’s for the Sales Convention to welcome in the new year and talk sales for 2020. This big yearly event was hosted by SVP APAC Sophie Breton along with Board Member Franck Houdebert. The convention focussed was on Customer Centricity, key segments and high performing teams, with the underlying messages of putting our values into action.
Spotlight on France
In France, 380 sales & management participants were at @Hager Forum for our MA France kick off. This 2-day multi-brand event gathered Hager, Daitem, Diagral, Iboco Sales Teams, they participated in workshops & masterclasses to share the 2020 action plan.
Spotlight on Germany
Hager Germany started the new year with the motto "Make it simple". At the kick-off in Mannheim, 345 employees were prepared for campaigns, initiatives and the upcoming topics. For two days, Rosengarten Congress Centre in Mannheim provided the location to get the sales force in the mood for 2020. The kick-off started with a 2019 review and our CEO Daniel Hager provided the big picture. Over two days, always striving for customer centricity, our teams are preparing the coming year with various workshops on how to provide our customers with the best possible support this year to “make it simple”.
Spotlight on Zone West Europe
For colleagues in Zone West Europe, that is to say the UK & Ireland, Hager sales kickoff event focused on customer centricity and becoming the number one in the eyes of our customers. The event hosted 60 attendees from the KAM (Key Account Managers) team, sales, internal sales, and marketing department. The event started with reflecting on the challenges and victories of 2019, and included areas that need to be focussed on in the coming year. Jacob Schambye, Senior Vice President of Europe presented the vision for 2025 and the rest of the day was spent reviewing key deliverables for Zone West and presenting advancements in digitalisation. A live Q&A session with Bruce Davies Managing Director UK & Ireland and Jacob Schambye.               
Spotlight on the Czech Republic
All the Czech sales team participated in the kickoff meeting that took place on Friday 24th January. The meeting started with a flashback to or Hager Group Symposium where the focus was our 3 company values – Courage, Authenticity and Integrity. The team members watched several extract from our December 2019 Symposium in particular a video where the founding fathers speak about the origins of our values. They spoke of the importance of understanding our core values and what they meant then and how they are still relevant now.
Spotlight on Africa
The 2-day Africa kick-off was all about aligning business development priorities and motivating the teams for the year ahead. The Business Development Area Managers shared the sales targets for the region, and, among the 75 countries under the AfNE (Africa & Near East) scope, 5 were identified to receive extra support from Hager: Israel, Egypt, Algeria, the Ivory Coast and South Africa. The event also counted on the participation of Business Partners from the HR and controlling & logistics departments. On the second day, a Hager Group Symposium debrief aligned key messages from the group. Additionally, a workshop on our corporate brand approach supported the AfNE team in sharing our brand story with local partners.
Spotlight on India
Hager India had their Annual Sales Kick off 2020 ‘Accelerate’ in Lonavala. With around 100 participants from sales and also from across functions, the Indian team is motivated to accelerate growth in India. The key message is to ‘Accelerate’ not only in sales but in all aspects of our life at Hager Group
Spotlight on Austria
During their 2020 kickoff the Austrian team also celebrated a very successful 2019. All team members are now prepared, optimistic and motivated for the challenges in 2020.
