Senior Manager Innovation & Technical Engineering (m/f/d)

Mission

In close collaboration with the Engineering Director of the Electrical Distribution System (EDS) department, you develop the mid-term / long-term strategy for all advanced engineering activities. To do this, you manage expertise and the development of technical skills, by identifying and prioritizing key projects within the department as well as by defining and coordinating the Bricks & Platform approach, in line with the Hager Group's strategy. 

Responsibilities

As part of the 10-year business plan:

• Lead the management of mid-term technological roadmaps in connection with the group's strategy and the commercial strategy.
• Manage the department's innovative projects by following a structured process with milestones in a complex (multi-site, multi-domain, multi-target) and international environment.
• Promote innovation within the department and monitor new technologies and innovations applicable to the sector, ensuring, if necessary, the construction of external partnerships.

As part of the development of our new products:

• Develop and maintain technological know-how as well as EDS expertise in mechanical, electrotechnical, materials, arc detection, artificial intelligence, electronics and mechatronics skills.
• Identify and deploy new areas of expertise (static switching, AI, etc.), by contributing to the development or recruitment of talents with targeted know-how.
• Promote research and ensure that thesis projects on critical subjects are continuously in place, also ensuring the maintenance of a network of partners and universities to catalyze the integration of skills, technologies or building blocks techniques.
• Manage the Bricks & Platform portfolio of EDS Engineering (inventory, strategy, prioritization, rationalization & standardization) and define and prioritize the valuable subjects to be treated as bricks & platform projects (Roadmaps) with the objective of ensure its development, reuse and integrity.
• Manage and develop a versatile team of managers, engineers and technicians.
• Ensure the preparation and management of the overall technical engineering budget.

Profile

• Senior manager, you have at least 15 years of experience in an Engineering environment in the field of electrical infrastructures, including electrical or electronic skills.
• You have a real taste for technique and are open to new technologies and innovation.
• You have a good strategic vision and very good communication skills. You have good knowledge in project management and a robust experience in managing multi-domain skills (Mechanics, Electrical Engineering & Electronics).
• You do not hesitate to challenge the status quo, you know how to convince and get your teams on board around a common project.
• English is essential for this position.
