Solar Charge Challenge 2020-2022

E3/DC launches a challenge to promote electric mobility

"Solar Charge Challenge 2020-2022" rewards partners and customers

E3/DC, a subsidiary of Hager Group, is boosting electric mobility. Thanks to solar recharging, electrical vehicles reach an average of less than 50g of CO2 per kilometre, a 50% reduction compared to non-solar recharging. The aim of the Solar Charge Challenge is to reward specialised partners and customers who have the highest annual solar charge volumes. So, as part of the Solar Charge Challenge, E3/DC will be offering 50 VW ID.3 vehicles to these solar-charging champions.

A total of 25 specialist partners and 5 private customers with the highest solar-charge volumes in 2020 will receive a vehicle. And then over the next two years, E3/DC will reward another ten best solar-charger customers per year, including those using two-way charging.

In 2020, almost one in three domestic power stations was equipped with a charging station. Managing Director Andreas Piepenbrink is optimistic, "…together with our specialist partners, we are pioneers. In 2021, we will start field testing our unique two-way charging concept.”
