L’Industrie Magnifique is now over and Mann auf Stier (Man on Bull) is back where it belongs! Back in their usual position in front of Hager Forum, the bull and its rider have completed their 11 day presence at L’Industrie Magnifique in the centre of Strasbourg.
Many visitors were attracted to the 13 activities hosted by Hager Group. To name but a few of them: guided tours; a Design Café with Design Studio Director Erwin Van Handenhoven, who presented his interpretation of Mann auf Stier; a debate about “What is innovation and how do you achieve it?” between Jean Lasserre and the philosopher Eugénie Végleris; our Tooling Schools from Blieskastel and Obernai presented a range of projects at the Place d’Austerlitz; secondary school pupils and students worked hard on fractions in the mathematics workshop supervised by our engineers; a discussion forum on women in industry with members of our feminine network when! were also there and a sensory discovery for blind people of Stephan Balkenhol's Man on Bull was organised.
Ana Maria Arteaga Campos, Project Manager and Young Talents & University Relations Manager at Hager Group, summed up the experience by commenting that, “…our involvement in L’Industrie Magnifique was a great success. It allowed us to make the general public more familiar with Hager Group, demonstrate our expertise and share our values and passion for what we do. This success is thanks to all the committed helpers and colleagues who supported this project.
For anyone who could not be there, or indeed, anyone who would like to relive the event, the English subtitled review video of the event is available now:
