Hager TechniCamp brings together electrical apprentices

Eighty apprentices from all across Germany recently began their "Hager" expedition to Saarland under the motto "Rapids". They were lucky, because in 2019, as in previous years, the high demand meant that participation had to be decided by drawing lots.

Since its initiation in 2005, Peter Hager has been present at the event. "The TechniCamp is a meeting place for the next generation of electricians. The concept centres on learning and working together, team competitions and, last but not least, celebrating together." While the trainees receive free further training in the form of workshops and product information, the companies benefit from the knowledge gained by their apprentices.

The TechniCamp was jointly opened by Peter Hager, Günter Bartruff, State Guild Master of Saarland and Christoph Hansen, Vice President of the General Association of German Electrical and Information Technology Trades (ZVEH). The first step of the expedition led through the production of the Hager Group: In the context of a plant tour, the apprentices got to know important steps in the manufacturing process of the products, and solutions which they use on a daily basis in the training organisation.

"We at Hager want to support training in e-trade as much as we can. With the TechniCamp, we are therefore once again bringing together apprentices and Hager to share ideas", explains Torsten Schulz, Managing Director of Hager Vertriebsgesellschaft.

What’s more, is that Hager is continuing the TechniCamp expedition via the knowledge platform e-volution (German language). Here, teachers and students can find selected information and materials related to electrical engineering.
