Light + Building 2024:Hager Group paves the way for the energy transition

01 March 2024

From 3 to 8 March 2024, the Hager brand and Hager Group subsidiaries Eficia and Pmflex will be presenting solutions and innovations in the areas of charging infrastructure, energy management and cable management systems at Light and Building in Frankfurt. With its integrated portfolio of solutions, the leading provider of electrical installations is paving the way for the energy transition in the building sector.

Future-proof infrastructure from energy distribution to charging stations

The energy transition includes electrification in the areas of heat supply and mobility as well as a decentralised power supply. As a result, the requirements for energy distribution in commercial properties and residential buildings are growing. Due to the increasing energy consumption linked to heat pumps and electric cars, the energy distribution infrastructure and metering points are frequently stretched to their limits already today. The energy transition therefore requires a comprehensive and future-proof infrastructure in buildings - from energy distribution to charging points.

New impetus for the industry

At the world's leading trade fair for lighting and building technology, Hager is presenting a complete solution that is prepared for these requirements. Intelligent energy management systems ensure greater self-sufficiency and the efficient utilisation of self-generated energy, for example through photovoltaic systems in single-family homes. A charging infrastructure for electric cars also enables the implementation of energy concepts in apartment blocks and commercial buildings, in which up to 40 charging stations can be dynamically networked with each other. Billing in compliance with calibration law and the implementation of tenant electricity models lay the foundations for the energy transition in apartment blocks.

On the way to more environmental sustainability

In addition to the new products, Hager Group will also be providing information on how sustainability is being implemented in the company as a whole. One of the company’s strategic pillars focusses on ecological sustainability. In order to make a contribution to the successful energy transition and to limiting global warming, Hager Group is working on making its operational processes more environmentally friendly and cycle-orientated across the entire value chain.

Another highlight: the workshop line for trainees

Another trade fair highlight is the Workshop Street for trainees and trainers in Hall 9.1, Stand C24/D25. From the second day of the trade fair, it will be the contact point for trainees in the electrical trade. In keeping with the motto "From trainees for trainees", Hager Group trainees will be supervising the practical stations at the stand. Trainees and teachers in the electrical trade can test their knowledge on challenging tasks ‘live’ on products.
