We need to talk
Why Hager Services is heralding a phase of intensive dialogue with customers
We need
to talk
With Hager Services, we are entering into intense dialogue with our customers and partners.
Dear customers, partners, colleagues and friends of Hager Group,
In 2016, we broke into a new business area with Hager Services, which is set to change our customer relations, as well as our company. This business area will see us offer new and existing customer services that go far beyond what we usually deliver. With this in mind, we set up a special business unit headquartered in Paris, hired employees with specialist skills in areas that are new to us and acquired companies that we have since integrated into our strategy. In addition to this, we began to focus specifically on further expanding our network of discreet yet direct pathways to the users of our solutions, our end customers.
This is our response to the rapid pace of global change we are all currently experiencing. New technologies and competitors, digitalisation and globalisation are shaking up companies, existing business models and customary sales channels. Yet they are also creating new possibilities and opportunities for customers, partners and other stakeholders in our industry. The energy transition, smart home and electromobility; none of these would have been conceivable without rapid developments in technology. We, too, want to take advantage of these developments. Where all of this will lead nobody can say for sure. The only thing we know is that keeping our finger on the pulse once again comes down to understanding what motivates our customers and what products, solutions and services they need in their lives. We must identify where these are proving useful in their daily lives and where there may be shortcomings and issues we need to resolve. This understanding and ability to constantly adapt to modern-day requirements, combined with the desire to do our best, has made Hager Group what it is today. This must continue to be the benchmark for the future.
Hager Services are a building block in this respect; allowing us to engage with our customers at a deeper level. Ideally, we will satisfy their requirements with our solutions before they have even identified or articulated them. Thus enabling us to deepen our relations with existing customers and attract new ones. All of this opens up new opportunities for our company, our wholesale and our trade partners. It helps us make our business model fit for the future and go the extra mile for our customers and partners on a daily basis. All this allows us to remain competitive.
In a way, by providing services to our customers we are indeed also doing ourselves a service; and this is something from which we can all benefit.
Kind regards,
Daniel Hager
