In my area of responsibility, which is basically dedicated to support, service is about bringing value to the rest of the company, helping other departments in their daily business life and enabling them to perform better. As we already do in IT, we will assess how satisfied our internal customers are with the services we offer them.

There’s no doubt that digitalisation will increase our possibilities far beyond what we have achieved today. To ensure a superior service quality in the future, Master Data Management needs to proceed with their data quality project. Our sourcing department may extend its scope of intervention and could also train non-sourcing people who may need training in the purchasing process and negotiation. To conclude, the IT department will have to integrate the potential of digitalisation to develop their services further.
