Customer Voice

At first, some of the questions sounded a bit strange, yet I did see see how much Hager cares about its solutions and products, and also helping customers like me to do the best possible job.
Wayne Hawking
Hawking Electrical, Nerang (Queensland), Australia
What do customer really think about a company, its products and services? How could we make their everyday work more efficient and successful? In other words: How do we ensure Hager customers are totally satisfied?
We design our solutions not only for but also with customers like Wayne. Their comments help us to turn real experiences and expectations into superior products. By learning how we can make life easier for customers today, we lay the basis for our common success in the future. That’s what Voice of Customer is about.
Markus Theuer
Product Line Manager British Standard Solutions, Hager Group Blieskastel, Germany
One answer lies in our ‘Voice of Customer’-approach, a tool we apply to almost every major Hager project in the world. As its name suggests, VoC helps us to hear what our customers have to say. We do this via detailed questionnaires and surveys, we learn where we can improve our services and products for our customers. This feedback allows electricians around the world to help us make our solutions better and Hager Group the preferred partner for professionals worldwide.

FEN Research Campus

If you want to develop the electricity grid of the future, you need sparring partners who are as strong as they are competent. In other words, we need industrial partners such as Hager Group who can reimagine the network infrastructure together with us, with the vision of developing a sustainable, socially acceptable and affordable energy supply for the future. The best way to reliably predict the future of our energy supply is to make it ourselves.
Christian Haag
Managing Director Flexible Elektrische Netze GmbH, Aachen, Germany
If you consider the smarter use of our energies, you also have to reconsider their infrastructure. This is exactly what happens at the ‘Flexible Electrical Networks (FEN) Research Campus’.
The question of how our power grids could be made more flexible, smarter and more efficient has driven us for some time. At FEN we are in search of answers together with universities, research institutions and competitors. In other words, we are multiplying knowledge and abilities.
Dr. Torsten Hager
Advanced DC System Manager, Hager Group Blieskastel, Germany
The project initiated by RWTH Aachen University and funded by the Federal Ministry of Research is investigating ways to transport DC energy in future. The advantages (lower conversion losses, greater flexibility, higher efficiency) are as obvious as the difficulties that must be overcome before this can become a reality. We have already overcome the first hurdle with a unique joint research project.

Dream One Project

Today, customers are experiencing smart living when they travel abroad and use serviced appartments. As we wanted to offer similar technologies to customers in our Residential buildings, we were looking for a home automation company able to provide solutions for convenience, comfort, energy efficiency, multimedia and security. We were quite impressed by how Hager acted as a consultant with us, offering valuable advice on useful home automation solutions and features.
Rishi Jain
Executive Director Jain Group, Kolkata, India
Home automation is conquering India and Hager, a leader in this development, has already equipped several projects in this country of 1.2 billion inhabitants. The futuristic Dream One residential building in Kolkata is one of them. It will be upgraded with central controls for lighting, AC, appliances, security locks for gates, as well as alarm systems for fire and gas leakage. Dream One will be equipped with Berker by Hager devices, managed via an iPad. Designed by the city developer Jain Group and equipped by Hager with the help of our system integrator BT automation, the building will house 229 single-level and 12 two-level apartments. In a techno-savvy country, it is only one of many smart buildings that will soon become the standard in urban India.
To be successful in this market, you really have to understand your customers’ needs. For us, this meant carefully listening to our partners at Jain Group while consulting them on solutions for the Dream One project. One important feature is, for example, that the complexity of home automation as well as the cost will depend on customers’ needs. This is because we only install what the customers really want and need.

Coviva Project

If a product is to be innovative and equipped with the latest technologies, the development team must be at least as creative as the product itself. This is exactly the case with the partnership between Hager as an experienced electrical engineering manufacturer and us as a start-up. Despite the age difference of around 60 years, we complement each other so well that we would recommend this unusual pairing to anyone.
Jochen Schöllig
Managing Director, Codeatelier GmbH, Güglingen, Germany
We got to know each other at the innovation fair CODE_n. Together with codeatelier, a start-up from Güglingen in Swabia, Hager Group technicians developed a product that effectively turns a building into a smart home in an instant.
Our partners at codeatelier brought fresh stimulus to the project, we contributed our experience. Together we created an innovative, optimal solution for our customers.
Hubert Fritsch
Director Business Opportunities, Hager Controls SAS, Saverne, France
No more cables have to be laid, no elaborate systems have to be programmed or maintained. ‘coviva’, as the smart product is called, has been on the market since the end of 2015 and is a compelling example of how an unusual cooperation can lead to unusual results.

Bocchiotti Syntegration®

Together with colleagues like Franco, we’ve discussed in the past months a wide range of topics such as production, Human Resources, sales etc. We have found quite similar approaches between the two companies. Most importantly is the fact that we’ve learned an incredible amount from each other’s experiences, insights and ideas. So this is a good time to say: thank you for your openness, dear new colleagues!
Paolo Vela
Sales Manager Hager SpA, Milan, Italy
Integration of two companies with their own culture, language and heritage is by nature a challenge for both sides. So with the decision to integrate Bocchiotti Group into Hager Group, a project called Syntegration® was immediately kicked off.
Over the past months we have tried to build our future sales force based on colleagues individual motivation, know-how and personal interests and by overcoming brand limits. This is, of course, a challenge for everybody, but together with Paolo and other colleagues we are on the most promising path to success already.
Gianfranco Ferroni
Sales Manager Bocchiotti SpA, Arenzano, Italy
42 employees from Bocchiotti and Hager Group met for a series of intensive workshops. Their goal: making the merger a real success, increasing customer loyalty and the turnover of the new company in Italy to 200 million Euro in 2020.

Siluz Angola

With regular information from the Angolan market, training for local teams and help to establish a new department for electric board assembly, our partners from Hager have fuelled our sustainable growth in the Angolan market. This also helped establish Hager as a strong brand in Angola. Could there be a better example for a productive partnership?
Inácio Manuel Ferreira dos Santos da Silva
Electro Siluz, Porto, Portugal
It all began in 2008 with a joint effort of two family businesses to tap into two of the most promising markets on the African continent. Electro Siluz, a family enterprise based in Porto, had already started its expansion to Africa, when Hager sales managers joined their endeavours in Angola. Through several visits per year, sales managers like Ricardo Teixeira and his colleagues from Hager Portugal provided sales and technical support to the Siluz stores in the country, reinforced the know-how of local sales consultants and identified potential projects and customers.
Tapping into a young and complicated market like Angola requires a deep understanding of customers’ specific needs. This was our mission over the last seven years together with our partners from Electro Siluz, who kindly introduced us to the market. It was and is quite an adventure – and like every adventure, it is always better with a great partner.
Ricardo Manuel Bastos Teixeira
Hager SA, Porto, Portugal
Their trips were often quite an adventure: non-identified streets, no GPS-navigation, long distances on bumpy roads, no petrol stations and chaotic traffic. Yet this built up a solid base and today, Hager’s offer distributed by Siluz Group in Angola and Mozambique includes the entire range of products and solutions. In cooperation with panel builders in Portugal and Angola, project developers also have access to fully assembled electric boards as well as Berker by Hager solutions.
